Welcome to the new N-Gen website. In 2012 N-Gen started with 90 members and was thought to be a single three day meeting. Our previous website was built to accommodate those needs. Now, with hundreds of members and a diversity of projects, products, our community had the need for a new website that could be an increasingly useful space to learn about our colleagues and collaborations.

This new fully bilingual website aims to help you better connect with and learn who is doing what and where across the region. Each profile is now customizable and built within a searchable database. For example, if you want to see who works with fisheries, you can type “fisheries” in the search bar and see each person whose profile contains that term. Likewise, you can still filter all members by discipline and region. The dozens of N-Gen projects (biodiversity expeditions, 6&6 art-science collaboration, border bioblitz), reports, and resources are also reorganized to allow for better use (with lots of useful materials from past projects and summits in the archives micro-site). We hope that the new nextgensd.com better allows you to connect with your fellow researchers and build on our collaborations.
