About

My interest is desert terrestrial vegetation dynamics at the landscape scale, mainly studies of long-term vegetation change and influence of climatic variability on population dynamics. My Msc degree in Enviromental biology program with Dr. Stephen Bullock (CICESE) project was about temporal and spatial variation on recruitment and mortality rates in Cardon (Pachycereus pringlei) using repeated photography for documenting population change along the peninsula of Baja California over the last century. Im currently a Doctorate student in UNAM at the Earth’s Sciences program with Dr. Alberto Burquez. I’m currently working on my doctorate project focussing particularly on long-term and on large scales population dynamics in saguaro with emphasis on growth rates.
