| About | I explored various aspects of evolutionary biology that converged in overviews with population genetics, ecological physiology, and landscape genomics topics, towards developing management in natural resources. My early research experience centered on the Conservation genetics of pinyon pines in Mexico. Since my master’s project, I have been interested in transcriptomics approaches to recognize tree responses in conditions of extreme aridity and pathogen infections. During my Ph.D. research, I studied the Wipping pinyon pine from a genomics perspective differences in expression profiles in mature trees along its natural distribution and corresponds to the changes in drought and other environmental stress. The demographic history and the climatic changes along the Pleistocene have been reflected in genetic diversity.
