My research focuses on how land use change modifies ecosystem services provision and landscape configuration in riparian ecosystems in central Sonora. I’m interested in how social-ecological dynamics shape ecosystems and I would like to engage in community based conservation/restoration projects in the future. I consider the collaboration with civil organizations should be a priority for academics and I’m proud to be part of a recent regional initiative (AMC) where women are helping each other thrive in conservation and environmental work.
