I have spent over 45 years traveling/exploring Baja California-much by mule. I just completed La Mula Mil (the Mule 1000)-1000 miles by mule from the tip to the US border with 3 other women in Baja California, collecting DNA samples from descendants of early California families (pre-1800). My project is called The Californio DNA Project and I am interested in all things concerned with the Sonoran and Baja California regions. I have researched Baja California and Sonora genealogies for over 40 years so I am obviously a genealogist. I have also traveled Sonora and Chihuahua. Sideline interests include Herps and the cats of western Mexico and the SW. I no longer backpack and let mules do the work!
