My research explores trends and spatial patterns of plant populations thru the use of ecological models generated after compiling data from different resources (different studies, different years, or different areas). In particular, I investigate how plants populations and communities are responding to long-term patterns in climate and to recent change in environmental trends. I also investigate if any of these responses follow a spatial pattern at the local and regional level. I’m currently working in the archiving and analysis of Tumamoc emblematic long-term permanent plots.
