Researchers

I’m a Ph.D. candidate in art history at Florida State University, where I study Mesoamerican and Aridoamerican ecological knowledge in visual and material culture from the pre-Hispanic and colonial eras to the present day. For the 2024-25 academic year, I’m in residence at the Smithsonian as a Peter Buck Predoctoral Fellow at the National Museum of Natural History where I’m researching depictions of the symbiotic relations between people and agave plants in colonial Mexican manuscripts.
