I’m a journalist interested in the ecosystem and cultural history of the Sonoran Desert. My connection to the Sonoran Desert began in the 2017, when I wrote the history “The Seri are adapting to climate change and their use of native plants”, to write that story I had the opportunity to travel from NY to Tucson and then drive to El Desemboque with an N-Gen researcher to meet and stay with the Seri for several days. At the moment I’m researching halophytes and their cultivation and history in Sonora, and I’m hoping to connect with researchers working in this realm.
