I am an enrolled member of the Tohono O’odham Nation of Arizona and Sonora, Mex. with a doctorate in American Indian – Tohono O’odham studies, minor in studio art; ceramics and fibers emphasis. On my maternal side I am descended of Sonoran Tohono O’odham and Yoeme peoples who have maintained kin relations with our relatives in Sonora. Hence my dissertation final project. Other interests include, ethnobotany, ethnophotography, traditional arts, preservation of traditional arts and ways of borderland peoples.
