| About | Regi is the founder and director of Nakawe Project, a nonprofit organization (501(c)3) focused on conservation. She has led sustainable tourism platforms in Baja since 2015 and has directed Baja Adventures’ regenerative tourism since 2023. Originally from Spain, Regi’s passion for wildlife conservation inspired her studies in tourism, sustainability, sailing, professional diving, photography and media. With extensive experience in marine conservation and ecotourism across Costa Rica, Panamá, Cabo Verde, New Zealand, Europe, and Mexico, she combines her expertise in ecotourism operations with a strong commitment to local economic development. Regi enjoys exploring new places, learning about ecosystems and species, and embracing diverse cultures. A free-diver and dive instructor with over 3,000 dives logged, she is an expert in wildlife guiding and logistics. She has also contributed to influential shark conservation documentaries like Sharkwater Extinction by Rob Stewart and FIN by Leonardo DiCaprio. |
