About | Borders exist between people and countries seperating us. It is also the place in between; Nepantla, the middle place where we unite, a place of inspiration for those of us who see the connections between the arts and sciences of our region. After living in Chihuahua, Mexico for five years I began to see the connections between our countries and the cultures. I continue my visual odyssey learning to see symbols of the ancient past, the histories of migrations through out the Americas. I have documented community care efforts in Agua Prieta, Sonora; Prenatal Healthcare and photographed and collected instruments for the Musical Instrument Museum from the Raramuri in Copper Canyon; I am an artist with the Dry Creek Arts Fellowship sharing my work on horse traditions and eco ranching in Chihuahua and Sonora. I recently moved to Tucson last year and have begun to add to my archive Mayo and Yaqui culture in Sonora. I have worked as a Grand Canyon River Guide / Cook for over 25 years as support for scientific research expeditions. I am passionate about sharing the connections beyond borders.
