About

My work focuses on the ecological, botanical, and evolutionary study of plant species, with a deep connection to the Sonoran Desert. I have explored the propagation, germination, and physiological responses of native plants, including in vitro micropropagation of Ambrosia ambrosioides and their establishment under natural conditions. My research combines laboratory techniques with extensive fieldwork in arid environments. As a co-author of Most Common Native Plants of the Arid Areas of Sonora (Plantas nativas más comunes de las zonas áridas de Sonora), I aim to promote the understanding and sustainable use of the region’s unique flora. Through my studies, I seek to highlight the ecological importance and ethnobotanical potential of the Sonoran Desert, supporting its conservation and agroecological applications.
