I am a Tucson-based film director, editor, and exhibiting visual artist, currently an Adjunct Professor at the Tohono O’odham Community College in Visual Art and Design. I am working on a documentary called Of Jaguars, Sky Islands, and Us–it is about our relationship with wild things and places, here in the Sonoran Desert Sky Islands region, and, well, jaguars. As such I can really use your advice on places to shoot various wildlife and whatever else you might want to tell me. I started making documentaries for PBS affiliates in 1985, focusing on natural history programs. After moving to Tucson in 1992, I began creating cultural stories, but am now going back to my first love, exploring the environment the beauty and intricacy of nature, and our place on Earth. My recent documentary short, Celebrate Now, has been selected at several film festivals, including the Just Be Love Film Festival, where it was received the HeartBeat of the Festival Award, Arizona International Film Festival, the Arivaca Film Exhibition, and The Loft Film Fest.
