My academic and personal interests lie in the political and cultural geography of the Arizona-Sonora border region as manifest in borders and bordering processes. In particular I focus on the construction of border barriers, reactions to such a policy of law enforcement, and the relationship between local communities and national/international interests over this issue. I am also interested in the impact the border has on Tohono O’odham society.
