Researchers

I work with the Vermilion Sea Institute, based in Bahía de los Ángeles, Baja California. VSI fosters sustainable relationships between people and the ecosystems they depend on through programs that integrate ecological, cultural, and community-based perspectives. I support our conservation research—including a community science whale shark photo-ID project—and support youth education through our local Aventureros program. This year-round initiative connects students to the natural world through hands-on science, exploration, and stewardship, inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders in the region.
