I am a conservation biologist, literary naturalist, agro- ecologist and ethnobotanist who has worked in the Sea of Cotes and Sonoran Desert for 40 years. My current interests AE landscape-level ecological restoration of watersheds raining into the Gulf, food chain restoration for pollinators and people, and identification of human-disposed plants and animals between the mainland and islands of the Gulf. In the past Ive worked on Sonoran Deset nurse plant guiiolds and biomimicry approaches to using them to design desert agoecosystems esilient in the face of climate change.
