| About | Elizabeth Eklund, PhD is a socio-cultural anthropology. She studies usos y costumbres of water in the Sonora River Valley, political ecology, and climate change taking a deep time approach. She has worked at Purdue University as a Visiting Assistant Professor, earned her degree at University of Arizona, and worked as the San Diego State University Southwest Consortium for Environmental Research & Policy Coordinator. Her research interests are in parks and protected areas and trans-boundary environmental issues. Her work centers around cultural persistence in the face of oppression and catastrophe, deploying and testing theory / models of cultural resilience and antifragility. |
