Researchers

My photography is about desert springs. I want to bring attention to these endangered keystone ecosystems. I look for springs that are vital, over manipulated, restored or dried up, as springs are for the most part under studied and ignored as an important part of the larger picture. In the first part of this project I am mostly focused on the visual geography of each spring. I combine captions with the images to tell their story with a mix of science and art which expands how we can see and think about the past, present and future as our environment changes. I depend on scientists to help me to find spring and learn about their ecology.
