Researchers

My painting and prints reflect an intense interest in and respect for nature in all of its forms. I juxtapose imagery and related scientific illustrations that are representative of specific natural environments. It is my goal that the resulting artwork will invite viewer interaction that facilitates experiential understanding of the ecosystem that I am working in. I have lived and worked in a variety of places and began exploring the ecology of the Sonoran Desert when I moved to Phoenix in 2008. I have a B.F.A. in Painting from Middle Tennessee State University, a M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Louisiana State University, and a M.F.A. in Printmaking from the University of Miami. I am currently the Exhibition Coordinator for the i.d.e.a. Museum in Mesa, AZ.
