About

I am a Mexican scholar doing research on the international implications of water resources. Currently I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Arizona School of Geography Development and Environment, focused on management and governance of the U.S.-Mexico transboundary watercourses, particularly the Colorado River. I graduated with a Master’s in Water Security and International Development from the University of East Anglia, UK. I also got a first degree in International Relations at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México. On the professional side, I have served international organizations such as the UN and the GIZ, and have worked with NGOs doing research on community water management and global climate policies.
