About

I am a post doctoral researcher at the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History. I was a joint-doctoral student in Evolutionary Biology at San Diego State University and the University of California, Riverside. I earned my B.S. in Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz and my M.A. in Biology at Humboldt State University. My research interests include historical biogeography, speciation, herpetology, plate tectonics, and genomics. For my dissertation, I am investigating the roles of climate change and plate tectonics on the speciation/diversification of lizards (family Phrynosomatidae) in the Baja California peninsula.
