About

Angela Nava-Bolaños is a biologist and postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Sciences, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Her research focuses on the biodiversity and conservation of Mexico’s pollinators, insect evolutionary ecology, invasive species, and climate change. Through her work, she seeks to safeguard species from the major anthropogenic challenges they currently face. She has published 21 scientific articles on these topics. Her work is strongly connected to the region, as she has conducted macroecological studies on pollinator diversity patterns, identifying areas of high diversity and endemism in the Sonoran Desert.
