About | I am a marine ecologist with experience in studying benthic ecosystems in the Gulf of California, particularly rocky reef communities. My work focuses on understanding how species interact with each other and their environment to promote conservation and sustainable management. I have collaborated with community groups to develop initiatives for the care and sustainable use of marine resources, while also fostering food sovereignty through practices that ensure access to local fisheries. Additionally, I have worked as a consultant and data analyst in the evaluation of fishing refuge zones in the Gulf of California, contributing to their protection and responsible use. My goal is to integrate scientific knowledge with education and community participation to promote the conservation of marine and coastal ecosystems. |
