What changes are being made to the Border BioBlitz?
We’ve developed a decentralized model this year to keep participants safe by eliminating all nodes and group events. We’re also spreading the Border BioBlitz over a full month, so individual participants can safely spend time outdoors, connect to nature, and document biodiversity.
We urge all participants to carefully follow public health guidelines provided by the WHO and local governments. We want community scientists all along the border to have the opportunity to participate, while still keeping themselves and their communities safe. Please stay informed about any possible changes in the overall event and to conditions in your community and region.
We also encourage people to participate by documenting wildlife from the safety of their home or yard and by identifying species!
