About | I am a linguist (PhD, UC San Diego) who has worked on the Seri language since 1976, most recently with speakers of the language on producing a trilingual dictionary (https://mexico.sil.org/resources/archives/42821), a corpus of texts (https://mexico.sil.org/resources/archives/93194), and an extensive grammar (in press). I have also been trying to help Seri men and women express themselves through their own language in written form. I enjoy thinking about just about any topic relating to the language. See the bibliography of publications about the Seri language and culture that I maintain: https://mexico.sil.org/resources/archives/94401. I work with an international NGO that focuses on minority languages and the language development needs of their speakers. For various kinds of information about the Seri language, see: http://lengamer.org/asoc/language.php?language=seri. |
