I work at a small distributorship for Mexican fresh produce in Nogales, Arizona. Our main commodities include Honeydew, Cantaloup, and Watermelon grown in the agricultural districts west of Caborca and Hermosillo, Sonora. My primary interests include agricultural production efficiencies, as well as development and evolution of Sonoran production in the global fresh produce market. I’m also interested in governmental controls and vigilance along the U.S./Mexico border region and its relation to binational trade of perishable commodities.
