Researchers

As part of my masters work in landscape architecture at Arizona State University, I am studying the feasibility of green roof systems in the desert urban context. My focus currently is on cacti and agaves as plant materials for green roof systems. The potential urban agriculture applications of these desert plants on rooftop settings is of particular interest to me, with prickly pear fruit, nopal, and even roasted agave hearts being explored as possibilities.
