About

I am an ecological geneticist interested in plant reproductive biology, mating systems, and population genetic structure. My current research is focused on understanding plant-animal interactions between Erythrina flabelliformis (chilacote, coral bean) and its pollinators, herbivores, and defensive ant mutualists in SW Arizona and Sonora. I am especially interested in how these interactions vary among populations throughout the species range. I am also using genetic markers to investigate population differentiation among Sky Island populations, and to try to understand the phylogeography of this species in Sonora and Arizona.
