I work in the oases of San Javier, Los Comondú, and La Purísima looking at how human intervention has shaped the flora ever since Europeans first arrived to the Peninsula. I focus on how humans have remodeled these oases either by the introduction of exotic plant species, or by modifying the ecosystem itself allowing the establishments of new plants.
