Researchers

I have measured and detected biogenic organic compounds, like semiochemicals and secondary metabolites, in trace amounts from animals and plants using mass spectrometry and other organic spectroscopies for twenty years. I have studied how these chemicals interact in ecosystems like the North American Sonoran Desert. Most recently I am developing methods for, and measuring, trace, organic contaminants in environmental matrices like breastmilk and different types of water sources along the international border region.
