Mexico is considered a unique and fascinate country to explore underground systems. Speleology is the science who explore and study these environments. Therefore, caving in Mexico has become a very attractive field to do science or just adventure. Sonora and their speleological development is recent but new evidence show that Sonora cavities has unlimited potential related to their scientific and cultural value. The objective of this project is create a series of film/documentaries, through a style of scientific journalism, about several aspect involved in caving such as origin and formation, exploration, specific topics of geology and biology, bats, fauna diversity, socio-ecology perspective and cave-human interaction. To achieve the objective, the project is planned for 12 months, divided into 2 stages: (1) record numerous locations (caves or anothers subterranean environment) starting in January until June 2019 and (2) release of the cave films/documentaries, commencement in July 2019, publishing two videos each months until the end of 2019. In addition, photographs or videos will be publishing on different digital platforms to show interesting details about the locations or behind the scenes of the film production. Thirteen underground systems are available to film as well as new caves to explore. These subterranean habitats are located in different regions of Sonora state, covering northwest to southeast with distinctives origin and ecosystems. The project will embrace and show a close up experience about speleology on arid land caves and will provide a new perspectives on fields to create and collaborate.
