The 2025 grant cycle includes:

8 Early Career Projects

Designed for students, Indigenous researchers, and early-career professionals—with or without formal academic affiliations—conducting independent research.

4 Collaborative Research Projects

Open to individuals at any career stage or affiliation, working as part of a collaborative team.

Over the next year, these projects will explore a wide range of themes—from ecology and climate resilience to cultural knowledge and community conservation—rooted in active collaboration with UNEC field stations in Baja California, Sonora, and Baja California Sur.

Each project reflects N-Gen’s mission to foster biocultural collaboration, transdisciplinary research, and community-grounded conservation across borders.
