The experimental phase of the project will analyze fecal and blood samples using the molecular genetic technique of Polymerasa Chain Reaction (PCR) to detect the presence or absence of causative agents such as\u00a0<em>Toxoplasma gondii<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Salmonella spp.<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Mycobacterium avium<\/em>, or viruses\u00a0<em>Avipoxvirus<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Chlamydophyla psittaci<\/em>. The main applications of the research are to generate a primary evaluation of pathogens to which the bird has been exposed and from the results obtained to determine if there a serious risk in the short and long-term regarding the presence and prevalence of infectious diseases in this species. According it will then possible to make suggestions in the management of waste and resources of the Cooperative of Divers and Fishers and other inhabitants and users of the
