Next Generation Sonoran Desert Researchers (N-Gen), as part of the Desert Seas Summit 2027 (February 2 – 6), invites artists to participate in the exhibition:

Art of the Desert Seas  / Arte de los Mares del Desierto

About the Exhibition

This exhibition creates a space to explore the connections between art, science, and the marine and coastal ecosystems of the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean.

Within the context of a Summit focused on scientific research and applied conservation, this open call seeks to create a broader and more inclusive dialogue around landscape, integrating artistic practices that engage with the connections between desert and sea.

The exhibition will take place at the Archivo Histórico de La Paz (La Paz Historical Archives), where selected works will be presented as part of a public exhibition open for February and March 2027, opening with the Desert Seas Summit.

This space will allow for exploration of artistic work in relation to the themes addressed by the Summit.
