I am a Ph.D. Candidate at SUNY-ESF. My research interests are broadly in plant ecology with emphasis on linking community and population ecology to plant ecophysiology. In this context, I am currently involved in three projects: 1) Tropical dry forest disturbance and regeneration in southern Sonora, 2) Mechanisms of persistence of a rare cycad within angiosperm-dominated communities in Sonora (Ph.D. Dissertation project), and 3) global ecotones under climate change: developing a general theory of climate-vegetation interactions across tropical, temperate, and boreal ecotones. Check out my webpage for more information about my research and publications.
